Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Counter Person to join our team at Fullers Burger Shack, a high-volume fast-service restaurant specializing in mouthwatering burgers, crispy fries and tots, and a selection of wine and beer. As the face of our restaurant, you will handle orders, serve food and drinks, and create memorable experiences for our guests in a lively, upbeat environment. Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders via POS system, and upsell menu items like signature burgers, sides (fries/tots), and beverages (wine, beer, soft drinks, shakes).
Prepare and serve food and drinks quickly while maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with speed and accuracy; balance tills at shift end.
Maintain a clean and organized counter area, including wiping surfaces, restocking condiments/napkins, and ensuring compliance with health/safety regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless order fulfillment and minimize wait times.
Manage customer inquiries, resolve issues politely, and promote daily specials or promotions.
Verify age for alcohol service (wine/beer) and adhere to all responsible service laws.
Assist with opening/closing duties, inventory checks, and light prep work as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in fast food, casual dining, or customer service (1+ years preferred).
Must be 21+ years old due to alcohol service.
Food Handler's certification or willingness to obtain (required by local health codes).
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours), lift 20-30 lbs, and work in a hot, busy kitchen environment.
Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to multitask under pressure.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and portions.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Team player with a passion for food, beer/wine, and delivering top-notch service.
